MentorCap’s first client — 1 million dollars was raised through a Direct Public Offering. We created a fundraising marketing campaign, which included:
- Strategically determining a two-step sales process would be the best approach for this client.
- Creating small intimate investment preview evening with the founder and CEO of JOMY, Paul Enright. Limited the meetings to maximum of 10 participants to create intimacy and exclusivity.
- Determining the optimum target investor and purchased specialized mailing lists to target prospects.
- Crafting a compelling fundraising letter including meeting invitation. Brought in numerous investor type individuals to preview letter and used their feedback to hone and refine for high impact investor perceived value.
- Creating a vibrant, alive product demonstration and PowerPoint sales presentation with a closing approach consisting of a “special” 5 day closing incentive. Of the meeting attendees, 60% went on to become investors, and 95% of those investors did indeed close within 5 days of the presentation.
The result of the marketing effort was an over-subscribed offering in less than 9 weeks from the start of the fundraising effort.
